Why is the event so important?

Despite the fact that we are living in a modern era, the construction industry is still leaps and bounds behind other professions when it comes to gender equality. Only 9.9% of the construction workforce is female - evidencing that there's still so much that we need to do in order to break the gender mould.

Women in Construction 2020 in the US and the Women in Construction Summit in the UK are pivotal if there is to be any kind of change in the way that people perceive the construction industry to be male-exclusive.

The construction industry shapes our entire built environment and thus it is so significant to ensure that it is not only informed by one gender's perspective.

By joining our movement to impact change in diversity and inclusion practices, you are helping to create a real change in societal constructs and are aiding both current and future workers to reach rewarding new heights of success!

"I wasn’t sure what kind of women’s empowerment this was going to feel like and it blew my expectations away. Really great content and great networking with amazing, strong women."

- Business Development Manager, Gilbane.
